Nammic is a Civil, Mechanical Engineering and Building Construction Company. Mr Michael Hayes established NAMMIC Engineering in December 2006 as a civil construction and engineering company. Through leadership and commitment to excellence, the business has grown substantially since its inception and the conduct of operations has resulted in an outstanding reputation with clients, financiers and suppliers. Between the members, we have more than 30 years’ experience in the construction industry and are fast becoming one of the top construction companies in our field in the Northern and Western Cape regions.

Nammic Engineering was founded in 2006 by Michael & Adri Hayes. Michael worked for Consultant Engineers at the time and Adri as a bookkeeper. The name was derived from the area where the business was founded and first operated, Namaqualand and Namibia (“NAM”) and the founder, Michael (“MIC”).

Nammic’s first project was the civil engineering services for a new development in Springbok, Northern Cape.

The company grew quickly between 2007, and 2010, with branches that opened in Springbok, Upington and Postmasburg and Brackenfell, Cape Town. Nammic Plant Hire, Nammic Western Cape, Nammic Namibia and Nammic Blasting was subsequently founded.

Today, Nammic has offices in Springbok and Durbanville, Cape Town and do projects throughout the Northern and Western Cape and Namibia.

Nammic Western Cape was founded in 2009 and started by Michael Hayes and Jaco Ferreira. Today they still work together in the Nammic group of companies.

Nammic Western Cape started its first project for the City of Cape Town in 2010 and subsequently has successfully completed projects for almost all of the Western Cape Municipalities as well as a number of private organisations such as schools, NPO’s, International and local developers, amongst others.
